Her new women’s wear collection for spring/ summer 2006 has a more, feminine look and is inspired by vibrant yet delicate flowers and the iconic image of Marilyn Monroe in her white, halter neck dress.
Her new summer range is a blend of classic cuts and 50’s silhouette dresses with leather waist belts and other modern details.
Using fly away erratic hems and layering of chiffon, Simone’s dresses symbolises the petals on a flower in full bloom.
The Simone Williams fashion label has been up and running since the summer of 2004 and is based in Hoxton, London.
Simone Williams past collections have had an urban street wear theme where she used a combination of fabrics such as denim and leather. She also used leather strips and belts integrated with other fabrics. This has become her signature look.
Aderonke Lawal (Business partner) has been supportive of Simone’s talents since they first met over 17 years ago. Today Aderonke manages the business aspect of Simone William’s label -“I envisage a future so bright and promising that it excites me to be part of this fantastic fashion label” – and continually looks to develop the label in every aspect. |
