| Description |
NABFEME is a 501 (c) (6) non-profit women’s networking and empowerment support group led by entertainment executive volunteers who seek to increase the awareness and raise the profile of African American women in music and entertainment. Over the past five years, NABFEME has grown into a world-class leadership organization that provides access, information, leadership exchange and development for women on issues of concern in music and entertainment. The organization also sponsors a mentoring program for younger women seeking to achieve a higher level of success in entertainment; an internship program called Intern–To–Work that offers executive shadowing and corporate entertainment related internship opportunities; plus scholarships are awarded to deserving students who are furthering their education in music and entertainment. Our executive team is committed to investing in the education of future leaders and providing programs and alliances, which will increase the participation and awareness of women of color in the entertainment arena. |
