Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington (1899-1974) was an African American composer, pianist and leader of the most important "big band" in the U.S. Although best known for 2,000 jazz works, Ellington also composed classical music for orchestra, chamber ensemble and solo piano. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has recorded his "Harlem" and Suite from "the River" on CDs released by the U.K. record label Chandos.

I've been a caricaturist since 1994. I've done caricatures at The Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, the Kraft foods' booth at the Essence Fest and the Southern Baptist Convention at the Superdome in New Orleans, various colleges and universities across the country, trade shows and conventions, parties, and weddings, editorial cartoons for the Washington Afro-American and other newspapers in Washington, DC, artist residencies, books, magazines and newspaper (Louisiana Weekly, San Francisco Bayview, Data News) illustrations, comic strip (entitled Hey, Whoodi), percent for art mural projects in New Orleans and Dallas, and gallery exhibitions such as at the Wild About Music Art Gallery in Austin Texas.
