The life and music of Le Chevalier de Saint-George (1745-1799), the Afro-French composer, violinist and conductor who was also France's finest fencer and its first Black Colonel. Saint-George's mother was a slave on a Caribbean plantation owned by his father. Fencing and classical music led him to the top of French society. His music is played and recorded today.
